Public space and street safety improvements from Bushwick to the Bronx are up for discussion at public meetings on the Streetsblog calendar. The week is capped by the RPA’s 23rd Regional Assembly. Here are the details:

• Tuesday: Brooklyn Community Board 2’s transportation committee will hear a DOT presentation on extending the Jay Street bike lanes north of Tillary Street. 6:00 p.m.
• Wednesday: DOT will present pedestrian access improvements to Williamsbridge Oval at a workshop co-hosted with Bronx Community Board 7. Advocates have been asking DOT for fixes for years. 6:30 p.m.
• Thursday: Offer your ideas for programming and public art at the new Astor Place and Cooper Square plazas at a workshop hosted by the Village Alliance and Grace Church High School and facilitated by Project for Public Spaces. 6:00 p.m.
• More Thursday: In the wake of the death of pedestrian Ella Bandes, Transportation Alternatives, City Council Member Diana Reyna, and community coalition OUTRAGE are hosting a forum on how to improve street safety in Bushwick. 6:30 p.m.
• Friday: New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy keynote the RPA’s Regional Assembly. The theme this year is “A Resilient Region.” Program starts at 8:30 a.m.
• Saturday: The 82nd Street Partnership BID is hosting a visioning session to gather input about public space improvements along Roosevelt Avenue in Queens. 2:00 p.m.
• Sunday: The 8th annual Memorial Ride and Walk will honor cyclists and pedestrians who have been killed on NYC streets. Events will take place in Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens and Staten Island.
