The calendar is warming up again, with important community board meetings tonight and Wednesday, followed by the "No Impact Man" film debut and the weekend-long New Amsterdam Bike Slam.

• Tuesday: Manhattan CB 10’s transportation committee is hosting a public forum on proposed Class 2 bike lanes for 138th and 139th Streets.  215 W. 125th St., 4th floor. 6:30 p.m.   
• Wednesday: NYC DOT and Manhattan Community Board 3 discuss the Allen/Pike mall improvement project. 6:30 p.m.
• Friday: The "No Impact Man" film premiers in New York and Los Angeles. Multiple screenings all day, including the 7:20 p.m. show, which features a post-film discussion with director Justin Schein, Colin Beavan and Michelle Conlin. (A September 16 screening will be followed by a livable streets discussion featuring Clarence Eckerson.)
• Friday/Saturday/Sunday: The New Amsterdam Bike Slam begins in force, with events all weekend celebrating the 400th anniversary of the Dutch founding what is now known as New York. Friday will feature presentations by some of the world’s leading experts on innovative transportation policy; Saturday night is the debate team battle and dance party; and Sunday wraps things up with an awards ceremony featuring Amsterdam Mayor Job Cohen. Hosted by Transportation Alternatives and Velo Mondial.
• An early heads up for next Monday: Congressman Jerrold Nadler will speak about the reauthorization of the federal transportation funding bill.
