• Today: Transportation Alternatives continues its series of information sessions on Play Streets, temporary street closures that give children a safe place to play outdoors. Today’s meeting will be held at the Bronx Museum of the Arts. 4 p.m.
• Today: The New York Metropolitan Transportation Council holds a Manhattan open house and webinar on the 2040 Regional Transportation Plan, the 25-year blueprint for multi-modal transportation strategies and investments in the NYMTC region. 4 to 8 p.m.
• Today: The MTA will host a public information session with updates on proposed Metro-North service in the east Bronx, including four stations that would serve Morris Park, Co-op City, Hunts Point and Parkchester, providing connections to Penn Station, Westchester and Connecticut. 6:30 p.m.
• Today: The Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation hosts a panel on transportation and regional economies, featuring David King, Juliette Michaelson, Ernest Tollerson, Robert Paaswell and Christian Wolmar. 6:30 p.m.
• Tuesday: Volunteers with TA’s “5th and 6th Forward” group will discuss grassroots outreach strategies for winning safer Fifth and Sixth Avenues in Manhattan. 6:30 p.m.
