With the holidays approaching, the calendar items are stacked toward the early part of the week. Looks like this is the final burst of community board action before 2015 — get it while you can.

Here are the highlights, with more goodies on the full calendar:

• Today: The Baruch College plaza is a car-free block of East 25th Street created with temporary materials. NYC DOT, the Department of Design and Construction, and Baruch College are putting on a public workshop as to inform a permanent redesign. 6 p.m.
• Tuesday: The transportation committee of Queens Community Board 5 will meet to discuss street safety, freight rail, and transit issues, as well as the state DOT’s mammoth Kosciuszko Bridge replacement project. 7 p.m.
• Wednesday: On the agenda of Manhattan Community Board 4’s transportation committee: DOT’s report on dangerous intersections along 57th Street on the West Side. 6:30 p.m.
