The Community Board 6 showdown over the Prospect Park West bike lane is almost certainly the biggest event of the week, as the incredible attention the safety-enhancing street redesign has received has made it a proxy battle for bike and pedestrian improvements citywide. But there’s plenty more on tap.

• Tonight: DOT presents its plan to daylight left-turn intersections, as suggested in its Pedestrian Safety Action Plan, along two miles of Lexington Avenue to CB 6’s transportation committee. 7:00 p.m.
• Also tonight: Manhattan CB 12’s transportation committee hears an update on DDC’s plans for the Plaza De Las Américas and continues to plan its bike forum. 7:00 p.m.
• Tuesday: Manhattan CB 2’s transpo committee discusses a redesign of the Jane Street Triangle, speeding cameras, and pedestrian safety near Canal Street. 6:45 p.m.
• Wednesday: The City Council transportation committee takes up 17 bills related to snow response, including ones on parking meter enforcement and the clearance of pedestrian medians and bus stops. 1:00 p.m.
• Thursday: NYMTC’s annual meeting includes a keynote speech from Joan McDonald, providing one of the first chances for the public to hear her speak since she was nominated to run the state Department of Transportation. 10:30 a.m.
• Also Thursday: This is the big one. Brooklyn CB 6 will be accepting public testimony on the separated bike-lane along Prospect Park West. Show that the redesign — which has curbed speeding, reduced crashes, and boosted cycling — has the political support to match its safety successes. 6:30 p.m.
• Friday: Follow the money: The City Council’s budget hearings turn to transportation, with the MTA, DOT, and TLC’s budgets under the microscope. 10:00 a.m.
