Bike Month, Village Streetcars, Taming Broadway in Billyburg

It’s the last full week of Bike Month, and there are still plenty of events to check out. Here’s a taste of what else is happening this week:

  • Monday: Transportation Alternatives Brooklyn Member Mixer. Come party with Brooklyn-based members at
    Brooklyn Bike & Board, where $1 raffle tickets can win you a limited-edition David Byrne messenger bag, TA schwag and more. 7 p.m.
  • Tuesday: Auto-Free New York’s George
    Haikalis will describe the history of streetcars in Greenwich Village,
    and what can be done to bring them back. 6 p.m. Also Tuesday: TA’s Queens Member Mixer. 7 p.m.
  • Thursday: The Museum of the City of New York hosts a panel on the future of the car. 6:30 p.m. Also Thursday: NYCDOT holds a community input session on all aspects of Broadway in southside Williamsburg. 6:30 p.m.
