NYC Century Tour This Sunday

unisphere.jpgThinking of commuting by bike but looking to get your feet wet first? Ready to take one more long communal warm-weather ride? Sunday’s 19th annual NYC Century Bike Tour might be for you. With five routes to choose from, this year’s event is expected to draw some 6,000 cyclists at all levels of experience. The ride will cover 30 miles of new bike lanes and 40 miles of car-free greenways.

"Every year this ride grows, and in turn it funds ever-more advocacy for better, safer biking in New York City," says Transportation Alternatives Executive Director Paul Steely White. "When weekend warriors and novice riders take on the Century, they get the real-world experience and build the confidence they need to make biking part of their day-to-day lives."

The Tour is the biggest annual fundraiser for Transportation Alternatives. Discounted registration runs through Friday night. Click here to sign up.
