Streetsblog Tip: Upper East Side Turn Signals

Next Monday the Community Board for the Upper East Side, CB 8, is going to discuss the installation of left turn signals on 86th Street from First Avenue to Lexington. No word on whether this will come at the expense of pedestrian crossing times as is often the case. Come to the meeting if you can.

The Editor: If you know of important meetings where local transportation and land use policy is being discussed and decided, please send your tips to Streetsblog. Since New York City has no over-arching transportation strategy, these neighborhood-level meetings on micro-level issues are de facto where much of NYC’s transportation and land-use policy is made. So, thanks for the tip, Glenn.
