The extensive public outreach on the city’s proposed bike-share system continues this week, with frequent demonstrations of the system in major public spaces and formal presentations to two more Manhattan community boards. So far, the system has been getting rave reviews at its public demonstrations. Check out the full list of bike-share events here. At the end of the week, many of New York’s top urban thinkers will gather for the Municipal Arts Society’s annual Summit for New York City, a two day long conference on livability with seventy-five speakers scheduled.

• Tuesday: Transportation guru Sam Schwartz presents the latest version of his plan to introduce rational road pricing to New York City. In the past, he has proposed tolling the bridges into Manhattan while offering free or discounted tolls on MTA bridges outside the core. 11:45 a.m.
• Also Tuesday: DOT and the MTA hold an open house to present their plans for Select Bus Service along 34th Street to residents and business owners on the West Side. They will present the latest findings from their traffic analysis of the project. 6:00 p.m.
• Still More Tuesday: DOT gives Manhattan CB 7’s transportation committee an update on the effects of the Columbus Avenue protected bike lane. 7:00 p.m.
• Thursday: Day 1 of the Municipal Arts Society’s Summit for New York City includes panels on greening the skyscraper and rebuilding crumbling infrastructure. 9:00 a.m.
• Friday: Michael Horodniceanu, the director of the MTA’s Capital Construction division, talks about transit mega-projects with the New York Law School. 8:15 a.m.
• Also Friday: Day 2 of the Summit for New York City will discuss public housing and the zoning code, among other important issues. 9:00 a.m.
