Walk Don’t Destroy Brooklyn 3

Park Slope Neighbors will be taking part in this Sunday’s Walk Don’t Destroy 3, a walkathon fundraiser to benefit Develop Don’t Destroy Brooklyn’s legal fund. If you have yet to enroll — or even if you already have — Park Slope Neighbors hopes you’ll consider joining their team team for this critical fundraising event.

Sign up or learn more. If you’re unable to take part on Sunday, consider making a donation to their walkers.

All funds raised during WALK DON’T DESTROY 3 will go directly to DDDB’s legal effort. DDDB is fully funding two lawsuits: one on behalf of property owners and tenants who are challenging the use of eminent domain in federal court (oral arguments in the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals took place yesterday); and the other representing 26 community groups – including PSN – who are disputing the validity of the state’s environmental review, the finding of blight, and the qualification of "Atlantic Yards" as a "civic project."

Petition: Tell DOT to Reverse the Curse on Brooklyn Speedways

How fast do cars travel on Prospect Park West? Criminally fast. All the time.
