This Week: B46 SBS, Reclaiming Livonia Ave., #SlowDownPLG

This week’s calendar is all about Brooklyn, with community board action in districts 9, 13, and 16. Also, Transportation Alternatives volunteers will meet to talk street safety in Prospect Lefferts Gardens.

  • Monday: The Brooklyn CB 9 transportation committee will hear from DOT concerning B46 Select Bus Service and the PS 221 school safety project. The committee will also discuss the Clove Road and Empire Boulevard redesign projects. 7 p.m.
  • Tuesday: DOT will present the Livonia Avenue El-Space Project — a joint effort by DOT and ioby to reclaim space under elevated infrastructure — to Brooklyn CB 16. 7 p.m.
  • Thursday: DOT and Brooklyn CB 13 will host a community workshop on WalkNYC pedestrian wayfinding signs. 6 p.m.
  • Also Thursday: Join the TA Brooklyn Activist Committee and the Prospect Lefferts Gardens Neighborhood Association for a #SlowDownPLG forum and workshop on street safety in Prospect Lefferts Gardens. Participants will discuss current street safety campaigns, a community survey of street improvement ideas, and the results of a neighborhood speeding study. 7 p.m.
