This Week: Anthony Foxx Comes to Town

City & State’s “New York Moves” conference this Wednesday features panels about the future of transit, biking, and walking in NYC and the next generation of transportation infrastructure for the region, with a morning keynote from U.S. DOT Secretary Anthone Foxx. Registration is free.

  • Tuesday: A panel at the NY Transit Museum explores how well the MTA works for riders with disabilities 25 years after the enactment of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Admission is $10. 6:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday: Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx keynotes the “New York Moves” transportation conference, organized by City & State. Register here. 8:00 a.m.
  • Thursday: Safety improvements for Coney Island Avenue and Guider Avenue are on the agenda of this Brooklyn Community Board 13 meeting. 7 p.m.
  • Saturday: Kidical Mass celebrates the restored and reopened High Bridge with an all-ages ride starting at Dorrance Brooks Square, on 137th Street between St. Nicholas and Edgecombe. Ride starts at 10 a.m.
