This Week: Sheridan Walking Tour, 34th Street CB Meeting

Two great events are squeezed in between this week’s many holidays. On Wednesday, Manhattan Community Board 4’s transportation committee has three hot issues on its agenda. Then on Saturday, the Municipal Art Society is offering a walking tour through the neighborhoods bordering the Sheridan Expressway.

  • Wednesday: Manhattan Community Board 4’s transportation committee will tackle some big topics: the 34th Street Transitway, pop-up cafés and the many intercity buses that load and unload on West Side streets. 6:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: As part of its Streets Month, the Municipal Art Society is leading a walking tour of the area around the Sheridan Expressway, offering a close-up view of the Bronx River waterfront and the Hunts Point market and conversations with members of the Southern Bronx River Watershed Alliance. 11:00 a.m.

Keep an eye on the calendar for updated listings. Got an event we should know about? Drop us a line.
