This Week: East Side Talks 34th Street Transitway

With New York still warming up to the new year, it’s a quiet week for livable streets. The only event on the calendar is tonight, when Manhattan Community Board 6’s transportation committee meets to discuss the 34th Street Transitway. CB 6, which represents the East Side, is home to the strongest opposition to the separated bus lanes.

Show up to voice your support for speedy bus service and better streets for pedestrians tonight at 7:00 p.m. The committee meets in Classroom C of the NYU Medical Center, on First Avenue between 30th and 33rd Streets.

Keep an eye on the calendar for updated listings. Got an event we should know about? Drop us a line.
