The driver of a Toyota Camry hit the unidentified cyclist on Linden Boulevard and Schenck Avenue. The 21-year-old driver stayed at the scene, according to the Daily News. The NYPD told Streetsblog that police have determined that no criminality was involved but could provide no further information about the crash.
New details have emerged about the death of a cyclist in Ditmas Park this morning. According to accounts in the Post, the cyclist was headed southbound on Flatbush when he crossed into a northbound lane. At that point, an oncoming white minivan — speeding according to the Post’s witnesses — hit and killed him. The van driver was unlicensed. Police arrested the driver, but the NYPD couldn’t tell us on what charges.
