This Week: Post-Holiday Party and Parking in the West Village

After starting your week off right with a Monday evening party, this week’s livable streets calendar is dominated by two downtown community board meetings.

  • Monday: The Five Borough Bike Club will hear remarks by cardiologist Merle Myerson, who will speak about cycling and the heart. 6:30 p.m. Also Monday: Celebrate January at a Post-Holiday party in Long Island City. 6:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday: Manhattan CB 2’s Transportation Committee will hear a proposal to reduce automobile parking on W. 10th St. in the West Village, among other items. 6:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday: Manhattan CB 3’s Transportation Committee meeting will include a discussion on installing a traffic light at Montgomery and Cherry Streets on the Lower East Side. 6:30 p.m.
