Building on several successful conferences held by NYMTC and the NYU Wagner Rudin Center, and recent events on the Northeast Corridor held by the Regional Plan Association and the University of Delaware, this event will address the key transportation issues affecting the Northeast Megaregion. Recognizing that what happens to the Northeast Corridor beyond the boundaries of New York is critically important to the New York metropolitan region, the goals of this symposium are two-fold:

(1) To foster a better understanding of the relationship between the Northeast Corridor and the broader megaregion and the importance of thinking beyond our own borders; and,

(2) To begin the discussion of how to address transportation challenges beyond the region that affect New York.
