Deadline to Sign Up for ‘Make Music New York’ Street Closures

For one day a year — the first day of summer — public spaces in all five boroughs will be turned into informal musical stages for all New Yorkers, amateurs and professionals, to perform for friends, neighbors, and passers-by, turning the city into a festival of live music making.

Normally, street closure permits must be filed with the City 60 days in advance. Make Music New York has gotten a short extension, and the permits will be accepted up until today.
