New York is asking cyclists to participate in what it's calling the first New York Bike Census in order to get a better idea of how (and why) people bike around in the Empire State (or don't).
Manhattan Community Board 12 is asking the city to use federal infrastructure money to straighten out a notoriously tricky stretch of the Hudson River Greenway.
"I am very much aware of the inconsistencies and the concerns around pedal-assist bikes in parks," she said, promising only to have a task force look into the matter, which has placed the Parks Department arguably on the wrong side of state law.
