This Week: BQE, Obesity, Columbus Circle Subway Station
The calendar has an interesting week in store. Unfortunately most of the good stuff is clustered on the same day.
- Monday: Pete’s Candy Store in Williamsburg hosts a debate on the Bedford Avenue Bike Lane. On hand will be cycling advocates and Hasidic representatives. 7:30 p.m.
- Wednesday: Four NYC government agencies are coming together to launch active design guidelines to fight obesity, promote healthy living and active transportation. 6 p.m.
- Wednesday: Representatives from the MTA and Dattner Architects will be at the Transit Museum to discuss the rehabilitation of the Columbus Circle subway station, and the art being installed there. 6 p.m.
- Wednesday: Remember how advocates fought off the widening of the Deegan? Is the same dynamic in place for the BQE rehabilitation? Find out at the BQE stakeholders meeting. 6:30 p.m.
Keep an eye on the calendar for updated listings. Got an event we should know about? Drop us a line.
