Do you have your ticket to the Streets Ball?

The annual benefit for Streetsblog and Streetfilms is just a week off, and this year’s event will be quite the soiree.

Our guests of honor will be DOT Commissioner Janette Sadik-Khan, City Council Member Danny Dromm, and Brooklyn Community Board 16 chair Bettie Kollock-Wallace. The master of ceremonies will be the inimitable George Hahn. We’ll have food from Kickshaw Cookery, beer and wine — you can also get tickets to a VIP whiskey-tasting — and live music. There will be a silent auction with goodies to bid on.

Best of all, it will be a night to mingle with folks who share your vision for making NYC a city of livable streets.

It’s happening at the Kings County Distillery in the Brooklyn Navy Yard on Thursday, October 17, starting at 7:30. Proceeds will enable Streetsblog and Streetfilms to keep producing advocacy journalism that promotes better walking, biking, and transit.

A big thanks to our sponsors: Capitol One Bank, Vaccaro and White, Bicycle Habitat, Dahon, Uber, Brooklyn Brewery, The Naked Grape, Citi Bike, Bike Guard, Dutch Kills Centraal, and Park Slope Day Camp. Thanks also to volunteers and event chairs Lisa Sladkus and Marc Agger for making our annual bash possible.

We’ll have bike valet parking, and Citi Bike is setting up a station just for the party.

Tickets to the main event are $100. A $150 ticket gets you into the main event and the whiskey-tasting, which starts at 6:30.

See you there, and thanks for reading.

No one had seen […]
