Get Your Early Bird Tix to Our Annual Benefit Tonight — Before It’s Too Late!

If you live in NYC and read Streetsblog, there are two thing you really ought to do today: vote in the public advocate run-off, and get tickets to our annual benefit, the Streets Ball. Every year our event committee outdoes themselves, and this is going to be the biggest and best bash yet for Streetsblog and Streetfilms.

This year we’ll be honoring Transportation Commissioner Janette Sadik-Khan, City Council Member Danny Dromm, and Brooklyn Community Board 16 chair Bettie Kollock-Wallace. It’s a great night to celebrate the changes that are making NYC a better place for people, not cars, with folks who care as much about livable streets as you do.

The party is happening at the Kings County Distillery in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, on October 17 starting at 7:30. (For those who want to get a jump on the festivities, you can also get tickets to a VIP whiskey-tasting which starts at 6:30.) We’ll have food from Kickshaw Cookery, beer and wine, live music, and the most stylish master of ceremonies in New York, George Hahn. Silent auction items will be bid on, raffle prizes will be won, and the proceeds will enable Streetsblog and Streetfilms to keep on delivering media that improves walking, biking, and transit. Thanks to our hardworking volunteers and event chairs Lisa Sladkus and Marc Agger for bringing it all together.

This is the last day you can buy tickets to the main event at the early-bird rate of $75. After midnight, tickets will be $100. Tickets to the whiskey-tasting are $125 today and $150 afterward. It’s time to get in on the groundfloor.

Thanks for reading, and we’re looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks!
