This Week: Better Transit in Corona, Jane’s Walks

This week, join the Riders Alliance to plan for better transit service in Corona, and head out on a weekend walking tour in honor of Jane Jacobs. Here are the details:

  • Monday: Join the Riders Alliance for a meeting to plan better bus and subway service in Corona. The Spanish-English bilingual meeting will also include a focus on improving the MTA’s communication with its multi-lingual ridership. 6:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday: There is a shortage of crossing guards in Brownsville. A meeting hosted by the Brownsville Partnership will solicit ideas from community residents on how to fill the slots. 10 a.m.
  • Friday and Saturday: In anticipation of the Five Boro Bike Tour on Sunday, join Bike New York for its annual expo, featuring exhibitors showing the latest and greatest in bicycling. All day.
  • Saturday and Sunday: This weekend, learn more about the city’s neighborhoods and urban fabric by attending one of over a hundred Jane’s Walk tours, organized by the Municipal Art Society. All day.
