Does a city dweller who eats at trendy restaurants every night generate more carbon emissions than a suburbanite with a backyard garden? The answer might surprise you.
The latest version of a multistate plan to lower transportation emissions represents an improvement, but still doesn't go far enough on environmental-justice issues, some advocates say.
"Springsteen's on Broadway, so everyone in New Jersey is going to Broadway and people [are] having a lot of trouble now for the first time really getting in and out of the city," Rep. Mikie Sherrill.
"The bridge is one of the most dangerous in the city and a place where assaults and robberies are frequently committed," said Sergio Solano of El Diario de los Deliveryboys en la Gran Manzana.
