Tonight Manhattan Community Board 7 will take up an application to replace city-owned parking garages with affordable housing on W. 108th Street between Amsterdam and Columbus avenues.

With summer behind us, the Streetsblog calendar is filling out with DOT street safety projects again. There are three meetings in Brooklyn related to DOT safety improvements on the docket this week.

To shed some light on what's holding back progress at the MTA, on Thursday TransitCenter is hosting a panel of three former agency staffers who'll discuss its organizational structure and internal culture.
