A Park Slope pedestrian was struck and injured recently by the driver of a Honda — a car that had been slapped with nine camera-issued speeding tickets and three red light tickets in less than two years. It's the same old story.
The city announced on Wednesday that it would complete 100 road safety projects — many of them near schools — just two weeks after a Streetsblog investigation revealed a disproportionate amount of crashes occur near the city's public schools.
"This is four-dimensional chess," said one lawmaker. "We're negotiating with the Council, with both houses of the legislator and with the executive. To play four-dimensional chess with new and novel pieces was difficult."
